Chic created 80,000 sq ft of dynamic and contemporary office and research space for the headquarters of Karyopharm Therapeutics. Based in Newton  and developing new therapeutic paths to fight cancer and other major diseases, Karyopharm needed an environment to fit the needs of a growing and modern company. The lobby represents a cell nucleus magnified 1 million times: with a high gloss epoxy floor reminiscent of water and circular walls pierced with “nuclear“ pores to scale (0.5-2”), it hosts a natural wood look and glass desk. Karyopharm logo is echoed by a suspended 2” thick lime green soffit and 3 round orange chairs.
